Danielle Curiel, more commonly known by her stage name DaniLeigh, is a South Florida-born, Los Angeles-based dancer, singer, songwriter, and creative director. She began dancing at the age of 12, started posting covers on YouTube at 14, and was called on by the High Priest of Pop himself, Prince, to direct and write the treatment for his 2014 song “Breakfast Can Wait” at age 18. The video appeared on networks like MTV, BET, and REVOLT. Prince ultimately took DaniLeigh under his wing, mentoring her budding singing career. After she released a couple singles independently, she signed with Def Jam, where she made her major-label debut in 2017 with "Lurkin" and the Kap G-assisted "Play." The two tracks appeared on Summer with Friends, an EP issued shortly thereafter. The following November, DaniLeigh released the full-length effort The Plan, which featured guests YBN Nahmir, YG, Lil Yachty, and Lil Baby.
