As a cinematic, docu-style portrayal, the podcast, Showmaker: The Nevertold Stories of Rock ‘n’ Roll traverses through 15,000 shows over 40 years, following Scott’s pioneering pursuit and passion in building the seventh largest independent music production company in the nation. The podcast follows the rock 'n roll rollercoaster of the entertainment business - high stakes, house parties and the wear and tear of a "no-warranty" promoter's profession.

Showmaker: The Nevertold Stories of Rock ‘n’ Roll uses the power of rock ‘n’ roll storymaking, compiled from four decades in the music and entertainment business, sharing the triumphant, challenging, hilarious and heart-pounding ride of one of America’s last independent promoters. The central story’s journey is narrated from an insider, behind-the-scenes, point-of-view, using the imaginative, experiential lens of high stakes rock ‘n’ roll, incorporating legendary and groundbreaking guest artists (Joe Walsh, Melissa Etheridge and Twenty-One Pilots, to name a few), entertainment industry icons, media mavens, radio personalities, and business and community leaders, as well as milestones moments and remembrances of course, from Scott himself.

The six-episode docu-series was recorded and filmed using the dramatic ambience of PromoWest’s live event venues.

In 2018, Los Angeles based AEG Presents acquired a majority stake in PromoWest. PromoWest founder, Scott Stienecker, will retire at the end of 2024. This docuseries celebrates his journey through The Nevertold Stories of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
